Bath, England
Well, I'm here. After a long overnight
plane flight and 2 train rides, I made it to Bath – tired and
frazzled.
The plane landed at 6:00 am and I got
here around 11:00. The room wasn't going to be ready until 3, so I
spent the next few hours wandering this amazing town.
The name comes from Roman Baths built
around a nartural hot spring. But, in the early 1700's they decided
to make it into a tourist town. Starting with the natural blonde
sandstone, the built and built.
There already was an abbey cathedral:
The rest of the town is narrow street
after narrow street full of shops and places to eat. None of the
streets are straight for more than a hundred yards or so:
And occasionally, you see something
unexpected:
After the room was available, I spent
the rest of the day and night sleeping, emerging only for some
dinner.
